A lot has changed in the space of 4 months.

Since becoming a freelancer, the world has opened up and it just keeps getting bigger. I have done work for several different places and they all were unique but still had a similarity to each other. It was like going to a supermarket in a different country. Sort of the same products, just different labels. After being locked down at the same place for so long it is very refreshing to learn new systems and different software.

One of my biggest growth would be speed. Since working at Channel 9 creating graphics for news stories, I have had to learning the basics of quickly making something that looks good and not focusing on the things that really don’t matter. The story will be shown once so every frame doesn’t need to be perfect. So now when it comes to jobs that I can spend time on, the base comes together very quickly and I have more time to spend on making it perfect.

Working along side some amazingly skilled people has been a highlight too. People with real design experience and that give great advice has helped me out immensely. It has always been something I was lacking. The scary thing is that all these people need work too so I have to just keep getting better.

Outside of work we got Albert Pugglesworth a sister. Her name is Mildred and she is a black pug. I made a planter box out of pallets started growing some oregano and coriander but I think one of the dogs sleeps in the dirt when I’m not around. Bert always looks guilty.
